Rituals III is a record I thankfully stumbled upon via KrachmuckerTV (once again). The cover and Ernie's description immediately got me hooked. Kavrila deliver the perfect soundtrack to one's emotional death on a sunny Sunday afternoon, after taking a long, nihilistic walk through the city and discovering that all your surroundings and possessions mean nothing and should be diminished to naught. Existential nadir. Vocals are reminding me of The Oklahoma Kid. Absurdly good. One for the dark days.
Favorite track: Elysium.

These four songs are the spawn of our rage, anxiety, gloom, self doubt, pure energy, and grit. A vicious beast that crawls out of a pool of darkness, and suffering that has a hold on the world around us, that we are constantly fighting to overcome.
“... it’s urgent that we experience this music, these massive guitars, rocky rhythms, these roaring vocals live - with all the fierceness, and all the rancor, the good, and the bad vibes.” VISIONS Magazine 9/12
“...four dark, dirty pieces of Sludge, Hardcore, and Doom ... an outcry to reopen the sweaty, humid basement clubs.” METAL HAMMER Magazine 5/7
“ A compact four track beast.” GUITAR Magazine 4/5
“... just like the cover, the conclusion to the EP series gets musically under your skin.” METAL.de
"If you’re after something uplifting, like being vaccinated with a dose of positivity, you want to look elsewhere as Kavrila deal in the darker recesses of the human mind." AVENOCTUM.com
„Hamburg’s most interesting band between hardcore and black metal complete their Rituals trilogy with the release of yet another interesting record.“ MERCHANTS OF AIR
„The mix of heavy and frustrated vocals plus the wall like sound of the band are more than enough to give hits, not on the back of the listener but straight in the face.“ ROCKING.gr

German four piece founded in the beginning of 2016.Natural and visceral darkness meets dangerous landscapes of human and

Dieses Projekt von Mastermind „Noise“ verbindet knallharten Death Metal mit melodischem Black Metal. Hier passt alles. Man höre nur mal die Riffs und Drums die das Gewehrfeuer in Grabenlieder nochmal unterstreichen. Mit Unterstandsangst geht es sogar Richtung Post Black Metal. Musikalisch werden die harten Töne immer wieder von ruhigen und akustischen Passagen unterbrochen. Das sorgt für eine gelungene Abwechslung. Zum Schluss gibt es noch einen Akustik-Song mit Klargesang. Was für ein Brett! Sælzer Bub
One of the best black metal bands of the last 8 years, which means they're beyond the boring tropes of the label. Intelligent and innovative with music geared towards the emotive ends of the work, not an adornment of scene badges or theatrical misanthropy. stevstemac
The atmosphere on this record is amazing dark and beautiful almost spiritual at some points and crushing at others every song gave me goosebumps at some point vaguy22
Five veterans bashing out their own new version of post-hardcore; world-weary perspective, fresh, urgent, crackling with feeling. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 13, 2017
I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back. David Fischer
