Dieses Projekt von Mastermind „Noise“ verbindet knallharten Death Metal mit melodischem Black Metal. Hier passt alles. Man höre nur mal die Riffs und Drums die das Gewehrfeuer in Grabenlieder nochmal unterstreichen. Mit Unterstandsangst geht es sogar Richtung Post Black Metal. Musikalisch werden die harten Töne immer wieder von ruhigen und akustischen Passagen unterbrochen. Das sorgt für eine gelungene Abwechslung. Zum Schluss gibt es noch einen Akustik-Song mit Klargesang. Was für ein Brett!

I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back.
